My name is Mahdi Murad from Kurdistan Region of Iraq. I
currently live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
A few words about Me:
I graduated at the American University of Iraq,Sulaimani(AUIS), majored in Business Administration.
I am currently the Cisco Virtual Business Manager for CiscoSystems (Iraqi and Kurdistan market).
Professional and Leadership Programs and Conferences I have
attended so far.
I participated in the GSMA Conference, the World Wide Mobile
Banking Conference, in Barcelona in Feb 2010.
I was one of the MEPI
2011 participants in the summer 2011. We were about 80 students from all the
countries in the Middle East and North Africa. We stayed in the United States
for five weeks.
I participated in the MEPI Professional Alumni Conference in
the Dead Sea, Jordan in March 2012.
I was also one of the International Institute for Political
and Economic Institute(IIPES) 2012 participants in Crete, Greece during the
summer 2012.
Aside from my professional work and field studies, I have
background experience in IT, Journalism, and theater.
I have worked as a journalist for four years during my
college life as a reporter, editor-in-chief, opinion editor, and business
manager for the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani Student Newspaper, which
was the first Independent University Newspaper in Iraq.
In addition, I have studied and participated in several
theater projects. I was one one the main actors of "Noor" a play by
Akbar Ahmed and I wrote and directed my own play that is called, "The
Arranged."
Last but not least, working with one of the biggest IT
companies in the world and being one of the active participants of Cisco
Associate Sales Representatives (CSAP) in Amsterdam, I have studied and taken
several technical training and courses that provided me with so much knowledge
in IT and current trends in the IT industry.
