Iraq-June 16, 2012- The American
University of Iraq, Sulaimani rewarded undergraduate degrees to 37 students for
the first time in the history of AUIS. AUIS conferred those students baccalaureate
degrees in Business Administration, Information Systems and Technology, and
International Students.
At the beginning of the ceremony,
Dr. Athanasios Moulakis, the president of AUIS, welcomed the guests and
congratulated all the graduate students.
After that, Dr. Barham Salih, the
Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Founder of AUIS, gave his speech. He,
first, congratulated all the graduate students.
A number of the Iraqi and Kurdistan parliamentarians,
the representatives of both the Iraqi and Kurdistan universities, ministers,
and several others including Adil Abdul Mahdi, Zalma Khalil Zad, Qubad
Talabani, and the American Consulate in Kurdistan participated in the
commencement ceremony.
It is worth mentioning that the
Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific
Research ranked AUIS as the best private university in the Kurdistan Region
based on the great quality of education and contributions AUIS has offered in
the region last year.
On behalf of the Third Eye, we would
love to warmly congratulate all the graduate students. We wish them the best
and brightest future ever. We are looking forward to finding them in the
highest positions soon.
