A page to compaign against the decision to change AUI-S to AUI



After the decision for changing the name of the American University of Iraq-Sulaimani to the American University of Iraq, a number of students start campaigning against that decision. According to page in facebook, that represents the voice of several students, the students are strongly angry and disagree with that decision, and they had decided to boycott their classes tomorrow to stand against that decision."We, students of AUI-S, will not go to the classes if they change [the name]." the page stated.

A large number of the students had attended to that page till now and their numbers are increasing moment after moment.

The students are asking to not remove (-S) from AUI-S to show respect to a very large area in Sulaimani where the new campus of the university is building. "So, as a respect for the ground they have built the university on, they should, MUST, and WILL keep (-S) in the name." the students added in the page.
