Below is the e-mail that The Rector’s Office has sent out recently.
The Rector's Office is pleased to announce the addition of new student housing options for the 2011-12 academic year. Located on the new campus adjacent to the Academic Building, the dormitory will be steps away from classrooms, faculty offices and dining facilities.
Students will be able to choose between three configurations and will have the opportunity to select specific rooms and roommates in the near future.
The buildings are designed to be state-of-the-art contemporary housing that will be safe, comfortable and convenient for our residents with totally separate accommodations for men and women.
The options include:
A.      Private, One Bedroom, single occupancy
$180/month
Includes single bed, kitchenette, bathroom
B.      Standard, two bedroom, double occupancy (total four people)
$105/month/student
Includes two beds per room, study/living room, two bathrooms and kitchenette
C.      Economy, three bedroom, double occupancy (total six people)
$80/month/student
Includes two beds per room, study/living room, two bathrooms and kitchenette
Construction of the dormitory building on the new campus is still in progress. It is possible that the new dormitory building will not yet be ready for occupancy in October. If that should be case, AUIS will arrange alternative housing for out of town students comparable to what is in place currently. Watch for an announcement from the Student Affairs staff regarding eligibility, and dates and times to sign up for spaces. Please note that students who receive financial aid will have the costs of the dormitory considered in their overall financial award as part of their cost of attendance.
