There will be no more Sulaimani in the name of the American University of Iraq-Sulaimnai (AUI-S). From  next week on, the name of the university will be the American University of Iraq, only. The name will only be AUI without S. The news had already confirmed by several sources.

A source from the communications department told The Third Eye that the decision had already made.

“We are announcing and rebranding a new name and logo of the university next week.” said Elia Boggia, who is the director of the communications department of the AUI(-S).

Officially, no reasons have been identified in removing Sulaimnai from the name of the university until now. Representing the university as a university for the entire country seems to be one of the main reasons behind that decision.

Evaluate the AUI-S Departments

by The Third Eye

This time, The Third Eye is trying to uncover another side of AUI-S. We would like to provide everyone an opportunity to evaluate the work that the rector, the  provost, the dean, the admission office and the IT Department of the AUI-S are doing. Let’s be direct and vote to appreciate those who are doing well in their positions and challenge those who are not doing well. To do that, let’s all go to The Third Eye Poll and vote. Your voice will be considered by those offices, so let’s be honest to decide which side you are supporting.
